SATENDAR KUMAR

He was born on 01 .5.1958 in Jambugarh, near Nanota Town of District Saharanpur, UP in the family of Nanda Singh (Grandfather) who was active member of Indian National Congress in 1930’s. He was elected as Chairman of Nanauta Town Area. Uncle, Shri Kashi Ram was president of Bharatiya Republican Party (District Saharanpur). He contested elections of Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha from Deoband Constituency. Father, Mr. Inder Sain was President of Ambedkar Cultural Society, Saharanpur and a Trade Unionist.
He did his Bachelor of Arts in 1978; Masters in English Literature in 1980; and
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from CCS University.
He joined Indian Foreign Service in 1984 and served in Karachi, Johannesburg, Hamburg, Colombo. Reykjavik, The Hague, Zanzibar, Paramaribo in several diplomatic positions, including Consul General, Ambassador and High Commissioner.
He retired on superannuation on 30 June, 2018 after rendering 34 years of distinguished service in The Ministry of External Affairs.
He has experience and expertise in International Relations, Negotiation, Diplomacy, Political Analytical Reporting, Innate Leadership Ability, Programme Development, Project Management, Strategic Planning, Decision-Making Skill. He has interests and hobbies of Reading, Sports, Yoga, Meditation, Debating and Psychology.
