RAM DHAN

  • He was born on 13 June, 1946 at Jhajjar. He acquired his primary, middle and High School in his village and Higher Secondary Education from from Bhopal in 1965 and B.A. IN 1971and LL.B.IN 1976 from Delhi University and Diploma in Labour Law from Indian Law Institute in the year 1888-89.
  • He initially joined DDA in 1968 as a Clerk. After  completing B.A., LL. B. and Diploma in Labour Law from Indian Law Institute, his Department Switched over his services in Legal Wing. He retired from his services from DDA on 30.6.2006.
  • He had opportunities to serve his Department at Tis Hazari Courts, Patiala House Courts and High Court, Delhi and his conduct with the Judges was very cordial and he had very good rapport with all the Judges and more particularly at High Court Judges because of his nature of hard work, honesty and his faithfulness towards the court works. He enjoyed the faith and confidence of the Judges because of his dedication and clarity in his working. Even during performing his duties, his sincerity and love always remained with poor community people who remained at the mercy of dominant caste people. Wherever he noticed any news in Newspapers about happening of any criminal act on people anywhere in the country, he used to take up the matter with National Human Rights Commission, the Chief Secretary of that State, Concerned DCs and SPs as well for emphasizing for Justice and redressal of the grievances. To his utmost satisfaction his complaints used to get positive actions on the part of Constitutional Authorities and the Administration side as well. The Governor of Haryana Babu Parmanand Ji was very fond of him and inducted him as a Member in the State Advisory Body of Haryana Red Cross Society. In that capacity, he arranged for distribution of Blankets and Sewing Machines to poor people. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment appointed him a Member in the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation for three consecutive years. He attended all meetings and gave good suggestions for the betterment and uplift of people.
  • He is President of Haryana Pradesh Chamar Sangharsh Samiti. Time and again his Samiti has been fighting with the State Government for the just causes of poor people particularly the SCs for allotment of 100 square yards residential plots in villages, BPL Cards and challenging the illegal and unjust policies of the State Govt. Samiti has won very important cases from the Punjab and Haryana High Court and people have been benefited from the Court Orders. His aim is to take up the matters of atrocities being perpetuated upon them by so called dominant caste people. 
  • He has joined SIAACBC and he is one of the Executive Members of it and Member of Advisory Board of AABC Law Reporter and Time and again emphasizing to take up all criminal incidents matters with the concerned authorities and any irregularity in service matters with National Commission for Scheduled Caste or the Scheduled Tribes, etc. He is hopeful that firm and determined planned actions of SIAACBC will definitely create a sense of security and satisfaction in the minds of people of Target Group.
